“ Great spot, fantastic staff! I was walking around Hillcrest around 5pm when I found this hidden gem. They said they take walk-ins and Billy instantly sat me in a chair and fixed me up. They charge only 30, but these guys deserve a lot more than that! Ive been getting biweekly haircuts here for 3 months now and Billy gets me right every time. Great interior and atmosphere. I personally get my cuts with Billy but the rest of the guys do a fantastic job as well! Could not recommend this spot more. You can also book with them on Booksy. ”

“ I've been going to Billy's since it opened here in Hillcrest a couple of years ago. Previously I had bounced around different barbers, but rarely found anywhere that was more than "fine". Since then I've had many cuts at the hands of Billy, Greg and Justin, and all have done a great job. I find some barbershops are a bit of an assembly line, and you're just another item on the conveyor belt, get into the seat, get you cut as quickly as possible, out of the seat and move on. That is not at all the case at Billy's. All the barbers have a great level of personal connection, take an interest in you (not just idle chit chat), and make it an enjoyable experience. Everyone has their own style, and I'd be confident that you will be able to find the right barber at Billy's. I'd also mention that I take my two kids there (4 and 6), and they love going to Billy's. They've also all had great haircuts from multiple barbers in the shop, and while it's obviously not a barbershop designed for kids (I've never seen other kids there), they do an amazing job and are very patient with the kids. They also talk to them at the right level, and make them feel grown up and special. I'm moving out of San Diego soon, and just hope that I can find somewhere with the same warmth and good vibes (and good haircuts) as Billy's. ”
